Blues trio Shaw Davis and The Black Ties return with their third studio album Red Sun Rebellion , released via Sony Orchard Music. The outfit has revitalized the usual stripped-back blues with an edgy rock sound, heavily influenced by bands like Rage Against The Machine, Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. The nine-track record was produced by Grammy-award winning producer Paul Nelson (Johnny Winter). The album starts with the upbeat lead single "Higher", a good choice for radio airplay sees Davis improve his vocals to harmonize over a bombastic riff.
