SINGLE OF THE DAY- The Plastic Pals- Plastic Pal

The Plastic Pals  are a Psychedelic/Garage Rock Combo from Stockholm, Sweden. The Quartet describes their music as "Magic melodies with a dark edge". The band combine soaring melodies, groovy guitars and bass sound that are fun and fresh They first formed in 2005, after naming themselves after a scene in A Hitchiker's Guide To the Galaxy. The Plastic Pals consists of Hakan " Hawk" Soold ( Vocals, Guitars), Anders Sahlin ( Guitars, Backing Vocals),  Bengt Alim ( Bass) and drummer Olov Oqvist. The band have been making inroads during their 15 years, performing across Europe and the USA, as well as receiving regular airplay on UK and USA radio stations. The band play hard-hitting, heavyweight rock with a tenacious edge that keeps listeners engaged. The band comprises of vocalist and guitarist Rob McCombie, drummer Sean Love and bassist Kristaps Baumanis. They first formed in 2016 under the moniker Penny Dreadful after childhood friends Rob and Sean met Kristaps after he answered an online ad, looking for a new bass player. The band soon were forced to change to the equally impressive band name Jack Rabbit Slams, following the small issue of another band performing under the same name.  The trio soon recorded an EP, entitled Cheap And Nasty , which produced two music videos.                                                   Stereo Pharoah  is A two-piece, hailing from Ridgeway, Pennsylvania. The band consists of Cody Legacy Laughner on Vocals & Guitar and Michael Padasek on drums.  Catastrophile i s the debut studio album, released via Independent Label  1679910 Records DK in January . BAND OF THE WEEK- BLAME THE SACRED- THE PATH (EP)

Blame The Sacred was formed in late 2017 by Danny Porter, Guitarist Andy Wordsworth and, Drummer Scott Emery, adding bassist Wez Gill, and fellow Guitarist Kris Rayner last year. The quintet, hailing from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, combines a modern metal sound with thunderous drums, powerful vocals, and bombastic guitar lines to create a cutting edge appeal to new metal fans. This is the follow up to last   year's  Dream A Dream.   The band describe how they like to " dig in on every song and keep it tight". They combine traditional 12 bar blues with their own incorporation of funk, soul and R'n'B.   Stand Up  delivers with powerful vocals, intricate guitar playing, and imaginative lyrics. ALBUM OF THE WEEK- Jacopo Pausa- The Truth

Jacopo Pausa  is a twenty-one-year-old singer/ guitarist, hailing from Italy. Pausa first was inspired by Mark Knopfler  ( Dire Straits) to pick up the instrument at the age of Seven. The musician exhibits some of the characteristics of the much-revered guitarist in his songwriting approach and fingerpicking technique. He has recorded and self-produced his first album, a collection of Nine tracks based on real facts, called " The Truth", which was published in December of last year. The album showcases a mixture of well-crafted blues numbers, folk songs, and dreamy pop that is as thought-provoking; as it is easy to listen to. Pausa recorded this album himself at ML Produzioni studios in Milan. The musician was able to achieve this in two months with a broken pinkie, which makes it more remarkable. The album combines texture and differing mood changes, along with Pausa's reflective tones, and intelligent lyrics to produce an underrated record, that promises so much more....

ARTIST OF THE WEEK : Graylinglake- Runaway ( Single Review)

They consist of former True Lies  member  Michael Harrsjo  ( Vocals, Guitars, Keyboards) and drummer Conny Stade. Graylinglake have been making inroads within the music scene in their native Sweden and has recently released a new album The Impossible Possible.    Runaway is the band's latest single; a pop-orientated bundle of feelgood music and a catchy chorus that will whisk the listener away. The opening bars follow a basic chord progression that lets the rhythm bounce along uninterrupted. The upbeat tempo is soft and melodic which engages the listener before the vocals enter. Harrsjo's voice is warm, as to sound easier over the harmonic guitar lines and gentle drumming.
